The trainer that keep going

A British company has invented the world's first pair of running shoes that will keep going for more than 1,000 miles before wearing out. Sadly, it can't guarantee the same for the user.

A single pair of the UK Gear trainers, which will be launched next month, would get a keen runner all the way from John O'Groats to Land's End – and still have life left in them. Experts normally recommend changing running shoes every 350 miles.

Most people who go boating would choose a pair of trousers and flat shoes for both comfort and safety.

But Geri Halliwell decided to go against the grain in St Tropez, as she took a boat trip with boyfriend Henry Beckwith wearing a pair of impossibly high wedges and a tiny white minidress.

The 38-year-old star teetered along the dock as she attempted to navigate her way down a set of stairs and onto a dinghy to take her to her vessel.

AN angry father today slammed budget store Primark after he found a razor sharp Stanley knife blade in a baby shoe that he bought for his four-day-old son.
Steven Varley, 33, bought the pair of sparkly silver baby shoes for newborn Oscar last Saturday after stopping off in Primark's town centre store in Chatham, Kent.

Clarks shoes legal action

A MOTHER who alleges her 18-month-old son's toenails fell off because of "faulty" shoes has defended her decision to take legal action.

Laura Kennedy insist she and her husband Alistair feel shoe retailer Clarks have not taken the matter seriously.

But Clarks said it takes pride in its quality and fitting process and insist it is not aware of any other similar problems.

The family, of Kingswood, north Hull, allege Elias Kennedy suffered injury as a result of Clarks shoes.
